Maxwell’s best friend and college roommate Paul Sack came from Beaver

Falls, Kansas where his family owned a small 12 lane bowling center

named Hard Bull Lanes. Like most bowling centers in small towns, Hard

Bull Lanes was more than just a bowling center. There was an arcade, an

indoor mini golf, and a cowboy themed restaurant, the centerpiece of which

was a mechanical bull, much like the one from the movie Urban Cowboy.

The mechanical bull was the genesis of the name for the center.
